The OE Inline Thermal Overload is ideal where overload protection is required locally. Whether because of statutory requirements or where the distribution board is not easily accessible.

Available with 10A, 12A, or 15A thermal overload protection. Available with 1.5mm or 2.5mm 3core black cable in lengths of 0.5M, 1M, 1.5M, 2M, 2.5M or 3M. Come with bare ends as standard, but can be ordered with black GST18 plug and socket connectors.

Available with 10A, 12A, or 15A protection, the Inline Thermal Overload fulfills statutory requirements in Australia where it is required for 3 or more outlets and in the USA if there are 4 or more outlets.

The Inline Thermal Overload provides convenient protection where space is in short supply and access to the main distribution board is not available.

The Inline Thermal Overload can also provide loadside protection to devices that are connected to higher rated supply side circuits

Inline thermal overloads are designed to open the internal contacts in the event of a current flow in excess of the rated current according to its time/current characteristics. This protects the device from damage, should a surge occur.

A thermo bimetallic strip, which has the advantage of being immune to high inrush currents and line transients, is heated by over current and deflects thereby releasing the latch mechanism. The contacts open even if the reset button is manually held in the closed position. This is known as trip-free mechanism. The contacts open and close with a positive snap action and the tripped state is clearly indicated by the extended projection of the reset button.
